Abstract: provided are a transparent display device and a method of controlling the same. the transparent display device includes a sensor configured to measure color characteristics of light incident on the transparent display device, and a transparent display panel configured to display an image in which an input image in a transparent region (non-image area) is corrected based on measured color characteristics so that color distortion is corrected.
