Abstract: a display device and a display control method are disclosed according to the present disclosure, the display device includes a substrate and a plurality of pixels which is defined on the substrate and is configured to operate in an emission mode or a transparent mode. each of the plurality of pixels includes a plurality of sub pixels and a transmissive area, a plurality of pixels which is adjacent to each other in a first direction, among the plurality of pixels, is disposed such that each transmissive area is adjacent to each other, the plurality of sub pixels includes a first sub pixel, a second sub pixel, a third sub pixel, and a fourth sub pixel which emits white light. further, the fourth sub pixel is disposed so as to be adjacent to one side of the first sub pixel, the second sub pixel, and the third sub pixel.
