Abstract: a stretchable display device includes a first substrate having thereon a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area. the stretchable display device includes a plurality of rigid portions provided in the display area on the first substrate and spaced apart from each other in a first direction and a second direction. the stretchable display device includes a soft portion provided between adjacent rigid portions in the first direction or the second direction. the stretchable display device includes a second substrate disposed over the first substrate. a length of the soft portion is smaller than a length of the rigid portion in a direction. the rigid portion and the soft portion are rotated at a rotation angle with respect to the first direction and the second direction.
