LINK ADAPTATION FEEDBACK FOR RELAY COMMUNICATIONS

Abstract: a first station (sta) receives from a second sta a first frame comprising first link adaptation feedback for a link between the first sta and the second sta. the first sta transmits to a third sta a second frame comprising second link adaptation feedback for the link between the first sta and the second sta. the third sta may use the second link adaptation feedback to adapt a modulation and coding scheme (mcs), a number of spatial streams, a bandwidth, a transmission power, or a resource unit (ru) allocation used for data frames transmitted via the link and may transmit to the first sta a third frame comprising link adaptation information for the link. the first sta may set, based on the link adaptation information, the mcs, the number of spatial streams, the bandwidth, the transmission power, or the ru allocation used for data frames transmitted via the link.
