RTT CALL CONTEXT REQUEST PRIOR TO ANSWER

Abstract: solutions are disclosed that request call context from the caller prior to answer by the called user equipment (ue). when the called ue receives an incoming call from a second (calling) ue, without accepting the incoming call, the called ue sends a real time text (rtt), to the calling ue, requesting context for the call. when the calling ue responds, the user of the called ue may make an informed decision of whether to accept the incoming call. in some examples, the rtt request for call context and the rtt response are carried over default bearers for the calling and called ues, prior to call acceptance, at which point dedicated bearers are set up for both ues.
