Abstract: one example provides a solar device comprising one or more solar arrays. the one or more solar arrays comprises a low-voltage set of solar cells and a high-voltage set of solar cells. the solar device further comprises a low-voltage bus connected to the low-voltage set of solar cells, a high-voltage bus connected to the high-voltage set of solar cells, a low-voltage battery connected to the low-voltage bus, a high-voltage battery connected to the high-voltage bus, and a switch connected between the low-voltage battery and an input of the high-voltage set of solar cells.
