Abstract: a power conversion apparatus includes a converter that rectifies a first ac voltage supplied from an ac source, a capacitor that is connected to an output end of the converter and smooths a first dc voltage rectified by the converter into a second dc voltage including a first ripple, an inverter that is connected across the capacitor and converts the second dc voltage into a second ac voltage corresponding to a desired frequency, and a voltage detection unit that acquires a physical quantity correlated with the second dc voltage, and controls the second ac voltage to superimpose a second ripple correlated with the first ripple on an output voltage of the inverter.
