Abstract: a secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator isolating the positive electrode and the negative electrode from each other, a battery case having an accommodation space accommodating the electrode assembly and including at least one opening, a cap plate coupled to the battery case to form the accommodation space, and a corner elastic member, having a rod shape, provided to be fixed to each of four corners of the cap plate, and formed of an elastic material.
