Abstract: an electrode for a battery cell includes a current collector and an active material layer arranged on the current collector. in some examples, the active material layer includes an active material, a conductive additive, a positive temperature coefficient (ptc) material, and a binder. in other examples, the active material layer includes active material with an outer coating including ptc material. in other examples, a ptc layer is arranged on the active material layer.
