Abstract: an aluminum battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an aqueous electrolyte. the separator is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. the aqueous electrolyte is impregnated into the separator, the positive electrode, and the negative electrode. when the aluminum battery operates, the positive electrode performs an intercalation mechanism, while the negative electrode performs a chelating mechanism.
