Abstract: a securement band for a head-mountable device can include a variable length strap, a first load spreader connected to the variable length strap, and a second load spreader connected to and separated from the first load spreader by the variable length strap. the first and second load spreaders can be fixed in length. the variable length strap can include elastic material and the first and second load spreaders can be rigid.
