Abstract: a culture control device includes: a calculation unit that calculates a rate at which cells in a culture medium consume glucose, a rate at which the cells produce lactic acid, and a glycolytic ratio, which is the ratio of the lactic acid production rate to the glucose consumption rate; and a selection unit that selects either culture medium replacement or culture termination on the basis of the glucose consumption rate, the lactic acid production rate, and the glycolytic ratio.
