Abstract: the present disclosure provides a tetrabromophthalic anhydride polysiloxane. in an embodiment, the tetrabromophthalic anhydride polysiloxane (tp) has the structure of formula (1) formula (1) wherein each r is the same or different and each r is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and a c-chydrocarbonyl group; and wherein m is an integer greater than or equal to 0, n is an integer greater than or equal to 2; and m/n=0 to 10. the present disclosure also provides a polymeric composition including the tp of formula (1) and a cable including the tp of formula (1).
