Abstract: 5-methoxy-n,n-dimethyltryptamine (5-meo-dmt) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is used in treating a patient who is diagnosed with bipolar disorder, wherein the 5-meo-dmt is administered via the intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous route.
