System and Method for Detecting Simultaneous Disk Plugging on a Tillage Implement

Abstract: a system for detecting simultaneous disk plugging on a tillage implement includes a plurality of disks supported by the frame of the implement. additionally, the system includes a plurality of load sensors each being configured to generate data indicative of the draft load being applied to the frame by one or more of the disks. moreover, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the load sensors. the computing system is configured to determine the plurality of draft loads based on the load sensor data. furthermore, the computing system is configured to determine the total draft load being applied to the frame based on the determined plurality of draft loads. moreover, the computing system is configured to determine when the majority of the disks are simultaneously plugged based on the determined total draft load.
