Abstract: a dissolvable foam scaffold for cell culture is provided herein. the dissolvable foam scaffold includes an ionotropically crosslinked polygalacturonic acid compound selected from at least one of: pectic acid; partially esterified pectic acid, partially amidated pectic acid and salts thereof, and at least one first water-soluble polymer having surface activity.
