Abstract: a powder coating composition for promoting adhesion consists of: an extruded and subsequently ground mixture of binding agents, hardening agents and optionally one or more of pigments, filler and additives; and porous particles of a mesoporous or microporous material in a proportion of one to twelve percent by weight of the powder coating composition. an adhesive connection of at least two joining parts having an adhesion promoting layer between the joining parts is also provided.
