Abstract: a recycled cyclic olefin resin composition containing a collected cyclic olefin resin (a), in which a ratio (w2/w1) of a mass (w2) of oxygen (o2) contained in the recycled cyclic olefin 5 resin composition to a total mass (w1) of the recycled cyclic olefin resin composition is 100 ppm or less; a molded body containing the recycled cyclic olefin resin composition; an optical component including the molded body; a method for producing a recycled 10 cyclic olefin resin composition, the method including a step (1) of subjecting a collected cyclic olefin resin composition containing a collected cyclic olefin resin (a) to a heat treatment at a temperature of (tg-50� c.) or higher and (tg-1� c.) or lower in an inert atmosphere or under a reduced 15 pressure, a glass transition temperature of the collected cyclic olefin resin (a) being denoted by tg.
