Abstract: a post-processing device includes a processing tray, a stapler, a movement mechanism, an operation unit and a control unit, the operation unit includes a manual input unit that receives an instruction to perform stapling processing in a manual mode, when a first operation is performed on the manual input unit, the control unit causes the stapler to perform the stapling processing and when a second operation is performed on the manual input unit, the control unit retracts the stapler into a retraction position.
