VEHICLE DRIVING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS

Abstract: a vehicle driving assistance apparatus causes the own vehicle to coast when a vehicle moving speed increases and reaches a predetermined upper limit vehicle moving speed while executing an autonomous moving control, and powers the own vehicle when the vehicle moving speed decreases and reaches a predetermined lower limit vehicle moving speed. the apparatus causes the own vehicle to coast when a coasting permission condition becomes satisfied while powering the own vehicle by the autonomous moving control even when the vehicle moving speed of the own vehicle is lower than the predetermined upper limit vehicle moving speed. the coasting permission condition is a condition that a road located a predetermined distance ahead from the own vehicle and on which the own vehicle is expected to move, is a downhill road.
