Abstract: a carbon dioxide recovery apparatus and a carbon dioxide recovery method by which energy consumption can be reduced so as to improve corecovery efficiency is provided. a carbon dioxide recovery apparatus includes: an adsorbent configured to adsorb coand ho; a reaction vessel inside which the adsorbent is disposed; ho value detection means for detecting an ho value that is a value related to an amount of ho adsorbed into the adsorbent; and flow rate adjustment means for adjusting a flow rate of gas flowing into the reaction vessel based on the ho value detected by the ho value detection means.
