Abstract: a medical device is configured to determine a low atrioventricular synchronous pacing condition based on ventricular event data. the medical device is configured to determine a cause of the low atrioventricular synchronous pacing condition based on the ventricular event data and/or cardiac signal data and select at least one operating control parameter setting based on the determined cause of the low atrioventricular synchronous pacing condition. the medical device can be further configured to operate according to the at least one selected operating control parameter setting. the medical device may include a pulse generator controlled to deliver ventricular pacing pulses while the medical device operates according to the at least one selected operating control parameter setting.
