Abstract: a negative pressure wound therapy system can include a negative pressure wound therapy device configured to provide, via a fluid flow path, negative pressure in accordance with at least one parameter to a wound of a patient covered by a wound dressing and measure pressure in the fluid flow path. the system can include one or more remote computing devices configured to communicate with the device via a low latency, high speed communication protocol, receive measured pressure in the fluid flow path from the device, based on processing the measured pressure, determine whether an adjustment to the at least one parameter of negative pressure is needed, and in response to determining that the adjustment is needed, communicate to the device a request to perform the adjustment, thereby causing the device to perform the adjustment in response to receiving the request.
