SMART MASK FOR EXHALED BREATH CONDENSATE HARVESTING AND ANALYSIS
Abstract: systems and methods are provided for a wearable mask that analyzes exhaled breath condensate (ebc) for health monitoring. specifically, the wearable mask is a smart mask designed to harvest and analyze ebc in real- or near-real-time, and provide insights into the wearer's respiratory and metabolic health. the smart mask incorporates tandem passive cooling technologies, automated microfluidics, selective electrochemical biosensing, and wireless communication within the mask's framework. this integration allows for non-invasive, continuous monitoring of various biomarkers present in the ebc across different environments, enabling personalized health surveillance during regular daily activities. the smart mask is capable of detecting a broad spectrum of biomarkers, including volatile organic compounds (vocs), nitric oxide, cytokines, and pathogens indicative of respiratory conditions.
