Abstract: the present invention provides a heterojunction photocatalyst having higher catalytic activity than that of conventional junction photocatalysts. the heterojunction photocatalyst of the present invention is a heterojunction photocatalyst having a solid state mediator between a hydrogen-evolution photocatalyst and an oxygen-evolution photocatalyst, in which the solid state mediator and the hydrogen-evolution photocatalyst are joined to each other via an ionic polymer.
