Abstract: a method, computer program product, and computer system for an intelligent injection device for administering medication. the device may include a barrel in fluid contact with a needle connected with a first end of the barrel, a piston including a plunger, the piston positioned within a second end of the barrel and the plunger having a fluid-tight interaction with an interior of the barrel, a microprocessor in electronic communication with a switch and a wireless module, a sensor configured to detect an amount of injectable medication delivered through the needle, where the microprocessor may be configured to: receive sensor datum regarding the amount of injectable medication delivered through the needle, verify the injectable medication delivered conforms to a stored target dosage, which is a prescribed dosage for a recipient, and transmit administration data regarding the injectable medication delivered through the needle from the wireless module.
