Abstract: device and methods for treating wounds or surgical sites are provided. the devices and methods include use of antifibrinolytic agents such as tranexamic acid to reduce exudate and improve wound healing. embodiments provide for the timed release of therapeutic agents from wound dressings to extend a delivery time through the inflammatory phase of wound healing.
