Abstract: a bone nail () for the heel includes: a front portion () determined for insertion into one or more bones () or bone fragments of the heel and having a tip (), and an arc-shaped main portion () extending from the front portion () and having a rear end (), wherein the main portion () includes a tapered shape such that a cross sectional diameter of the main portion () within at least one first section () increases towards the rear end (). according to embodiments, a curvature of the arc-shaped main portion () includes a radius of curvature rwhich amounts to at least 130 mm. according to other embodiments, the tapered shape is a conical shape.
