BRAIN WATER MONITORING METHOD AND APPARATUS BASED ON NEAR-INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY

Abstract: the objective of the present invention is to provide a brain water monitoring method and apparatus based on near-infrared spectroscopy, which can non-invasively and accurately measure the brain water activity of brain tissue according to sleep-wakefulness and a sleep structure on the basis of near-infrared spectroscopy without injecting a contrast agent, an aqueous solution, or the like to the human body (intravenously or intrathecally). to achieve the objective, the present invention comprises: a calculation step of calculating the fractions of oxidized hemoglobin, reduced hemoglobin, and water on the basis of signals measured by near-infrared spectroscopy; an extraction step of extracting a pure water fraction from the water fraction calculated in the calculation step; and an output step of outputting the water fraction extracted in the extraction step.
