Abstract: a medical observation device includes: a light source that emits at least spatially incoherent light; an image sensor that acquires an image of the light emitted from the light source and reflected by a subject; and a signal processing unit that corrects a signal level obtained from first image data acquired by the image sensor, based on a wavefront aberration of the light reflected by the subject.
