Abstract: the image forming apparatus which comprises a plurality of sheet holding units each configured to hold a sheet and a printing unit configured to print an image, receives a print setting for a first type test chart image to be printed on sheets conveyed from all of the plurality of sheet holding units and for a second type test chart image to be printed on a sheet conveyed from at least one sheet holding unit of the plurality of sheet holding units, and controls the printing unit on a basis of the print setting to convey sheets from each of the plurality of sheet holding units and print the first type test chart image and following thereafter convey a sheet from the at least one sheet holding unit from among the plurality of sheet holding units and print the second type test chart image.
