Abstract: a head-up display includes a virtual image optical system forming an optical path of an image light emitted from a display panel that displays a light from a backlight as the image light and an outer housing. the outer housing includes an outer case accommodating the virtual image optical system, a first cover that covers an upper portion of the outer case, and a second cover that covers a bottom portion of the outer case. the first cover has an opening through which the image light is emitted. the second cover has a first plane, a first inclined surface inclined from a first side of the first plane toward a first side of the outer case, and a second inclined surface inclined from a second side of the first plane toward a second side of the outer case. the first inclined surface has an inner surface that faces the backlight.
