Abstract: a resin composition for primary coating of an optical fiber according to the present disclosure is a resin composition containing a photopolymerizable compound comprising a urethane (meth) acrylate, a photopolymerizable initiator, and a nonionic surfactant, wherein the hlb value of the nonionic surfactant calculated by griffin's method is 4.9 or more and 13.7 or less, and the content of the nonionic surfactant is 0.01 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less based on 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the resin composition.
