METHOD FOR MONITORING THE COHERENCE OF AN ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE VALUE USED FOR CONFIGURING FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS OF AN AIRCRAFT

Abstract: a method for monitoring the coherence of an atmospheric pressure value to be used for configuring flight instruments of an aircraft includes: interrogating a database to obtain an altitude value of a selected airport; obtaining a static pressure value, a static temperature value, and a geometric altitude value, corresponding to a current situation of the aircraft; deducing therefrom an estimate of a static pressure value at the selected airport; evaluating a coherence level between the estimate and the atmospheric pressure value to be used for configuring the flight instruments of the aircraft; and generating a warning if the coherence level is below a predefined threshold.
