Abstract: control circuitry for a vehicle that is configured to perform stop control of an internal combustion engine therein is configured to: stop the internal combustion engine in response to determining based on information indicating a predetermined vehicle state that a predetermined stop condition is satisfied; prevent the internal combustion engine from stopping in response to determining based on the information indicating the vehicle state that the stop condition is satisfied, but determining that a protection condition for a heat generating part that generates heat at the start of the internal combustion engine is satisfied; and in response to determining that a traveling speed of the vehicle reaches a predetermined speed threshold, change the protection condition such that the protection condition becomes more difficult to be satisfied than before the traveling speed of the vehicle reaches the speed threshold.
