Abstract: a computer system has processing circuitry to set a maximum charge level of an energy storage in response to a vehicle specific net level of electric energy consumable by the high-voltage energy storage system from a charging position to an upcoming downhill slope, and a required charge power ability for the high-voltage energy storage system of the vehicle to receive a vehicle specific level of regenerative charge power at the downhill slope.
