Abstract: a medical device includes: an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end, and a body extending from the proximal end to the distal end; a blunt tip at or coupled to the distal end of the elongate member; and a radiopaque coil coupled to the elongate member; wherein the radiopaque coil is shapable and has a shape-retention characteristic, and wherein the shapable radiopaque coil with the shape-retention characteristic has a bending stiffness that is at least 10% of a bending stiffness of the medical device.
