Abstract: a smart injection system that promotes patient safety includes, among other things, a smart stem that allows for measuring the location of the injection relative to the patient's face and/or the amount of medication injected into the patient. in addition, the smart stem has medication cartridge verification and injector verification features. the smart stem wirelessly transmits the measure data to a processing system.
