Abstract: a delivery apparatus for a medical device can include a first shaft, a second shaft, a suture guide, a suture, an apex guide, and a suture retention member. the second shaft can be disposed within and movable relative to the first shaft. the suture guide can be coupled to the second shaft. the suture can extend from the suture guide and can be configured for releasably securing the medical device to the delivery apparatus. the apex guide can be movably coupled to the suture and configured for engaging an end of the medical device and guiding the end of the medical device into the first shaft. the suture retention member can be movable relative to the suture guide and the suture and configured for selectively securing the suture relative to the suture guide.
