Abstract: a bone plate comprises three receiving components. a guide block comprises three coupling components. the first receiving component and the first coupling component mate with one another such that relative motion between the first receiving component and the first coupling component is restricted in a first degree of freedom, a second degree of freedom, and a third degree of freedom. the second receiving component and the second coupling component mate with one another such that relative motion between the second receiving component and the second coupling component is restricted in a fourth degree of freedom and a fifth degree of freedom. the third receiving component and the third coupling component mate with one another such that relative motion between the third receiving component and the third coupling component is restricted in a sixth degree of freedom.
