Abstract: this disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support joint transmission operations which include non-coherent and coherent joint transmissions. in a first aspect, an apparatus includes at least one processor and a memory coupled to the at least one processor. the at least one processor is configured receive an indication of channel state information (csi) reference signal (rs) (csi-rs) resources and transmit a csi report based on the csi resources. the csi report includes precoding information and channel quality information. the at least one processor is configured to receive an indication of a joint transmission including a non-coherent joint transmission and a coherent joint transmission. the at least one processor is configured to receive the joint transmission corresponding to the indication. other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
