20250183858. Amplifier Bypass (Skyworks Solutions, .)
AMPLIFIER WITH BYPASS MODE AND NOTCH FILTER
Abstract: a low-noise radio frequency amplifier can include a pair of field-effect transistors connected to form a cascode buffer. the radio frequency amplifier can include a bypass path including a first capacitor and an inductor connected to an output of the amplifier, wherein the first capacitor and the inductor are tuned to attenuate a range of frequencies at the output of the amplifier. the radio frequency amplifier can include one or more switches to selectively connect one or more inputs of the amplifier to the bypass path. when the bypass path is in use, the first capacitor and the inductor provide impedance matching at the output of the amplifier. when the low-noise amplifier is providing amplification of radio frequency signals, the bypass path is disconnected from the output, and the first capacitor and the inductor operate as a notch filter to attenuate undesired frequencies in the signal output.
