ELECTRICAL MAINS CABLE

Abstract: a mains cable is provided to enable an electrical device, which has a panel connector for connection to a mains supply, to be identified by a reader of a smart socket of the mains supply. the mains cable has an antenna on each of its two connectors, wherein these two antennas are interconnected by an information line of the mains cable. an rfid tag is mounted in the panel connector of the electrical device, the information of the rfid tag is read by the first antenna of the mains cable and transmitted via the information line to the second antenna of the mains cable, and from there to a reader antenna arranged in or on the socket. at least the second antenna and the reader antenna are near-field antennas, in order to prevent crosstalk to possible neighboring sockets.
