Abstract: disclosed is a system and method for dynamically adjusting analytical precision of a clinical diagnostic process. the system and method employ a clinical diagnostic analyzer that evaluates a sample and determines whether the resultant value, or mean value, is within a predetermined window or within a threshold of a predetermined value of a precision profile. if so, the analyzer automatically and dynamically determines a desired analytical precision and conducts additional testing of replicate samples to achieve a desired precision and reports the results to a user.
