System for Automated Real-Time Asset Management

Abstract: various embodiments of a method and apparatus for automated real-time asset management are disclosed. in some embodiments, the system includes an association analysis algorithm for associating data collected about itemsets with the itemsets and an algorithm for forecasting changes in the states and statuses of the inventory, allowing for the automation of procurement and other functions of managing inventory. in some embodiments, the tag reader transmits power and communications signals to the tag. in some embodiments, the reader uses a lower frequency and a wider aperture for scanning for tags and a higher frequency and a narrower aperture for communications. in some embodiments, the tags include one or more storage capacitors, to power the tag to respond to the reader across long distances.
