Abstract: a method includes a computing entity issuing a request to select and authenticate a digital record that represents a secure first token representing utilization of a contingent asset to securely establish a contingent asset solution for a first pending transaction associated with a transaction item. the method further includes generating a contingent asset digital record representing the contingent asset that includes applicability information associated with justification for selection of a particular contingent asset. the method further includes determining that the particular contingent asset provides the contingent asset solution and generating a smart contract to facilitate completion of the first pending transaction. the method further includes inclusion of the smart contract on an object distributed ledger to represent the contingent asset solution.
