Abstract: examples of the present application provide memory systems, methods of operating the memory systems, readable storage media, and systems. an example memory system includes a memory device and a memory controller coupled with the memory device. the memory device include a first memory region and a second memory region different from the first memory region. the memory controller is configured to run second firmware stored in the second memory region when first firmware stored in the first memory region fails to be run and replace the first firmware stored in the first memory region with the second firmware. the first firmware is firmware that is to be run by the memory system after firmware upgrade, and the second firmware is firmware that is normally run by the memory system before the firmware upgrade.
