Abstract: an embodiment of the present disclosure relates to an electronic device comprising a flexible display, and a method for reducing image quality deviation in the flexible display. the electronic device comprises: a flexible display in which a visible area visible from the outside of the electronic device is configured to be reduced or extended; and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, wherein at least one processor, individually and/or collectively, is configured to: control a driving circuit such that a first area of the flexible display forms a first visible area in a first reduced state; switch to an extended state in response to an extension trigger event, the extended state being a state in which the first area of the flexible display and a second area of the flexible display form a second visible area, and the second area being adjacent to the first area and disposed inside a housing during the first reduced state; and switch from the extended state to a second reduced state in response to a reduction trigger event, the second reduced state being a state in which the second area forms at least a part of a third visible area.
