Abstract: the present disclosure relates to a system and method for adjusting a tool with a plurality of segments for inserting into a cavity of a machine. the method includes determining an initial alignment measurement of at least a portion of the tool; comparing the initial alignment measurement to a target alignment measurement to determine an adjustment amount; and adjusting at least one of the plurality of segments based on the adjustment amount. the tool includes a plurality of segments moveably coupled, where one or more of the plurality of segments comprises a unique dimensional measurement affecting a fit tolerance.
