METHOD OF OPERATING A FERMENTATION DEVICE

Abstract: a method of operating a fermentation device has an elongated container and multiple stirrer devices. the method includes introducing substrate containing organic material via the at least one introduction opening, moving and mixing the substrate in the vessel via the rotationally driven stirrer devices, removing treated material via the at least one discharge opening, and withdrawing biogas via the at least one draw opening. the stirrer devices are driven by a drive device in at least two groups. each group includes at least one stirrer device. the stirrer devices of a first group are driven in at least one first time interval. stirrer devices of a second group are stationary in the first time interval.
